East & West Ceramic Artists Association

East & West Ceramic Artists Association (EWCAA) was founded in 1999 by professor Gil-Hong, Han(Seoul National University of Technology, Korea) and Jong-Sook Kang, charter member and and organizer with professor Bill McCreath ( Montclair State University,NJ ) in U.S.A . With intention of bringing together ceramic artists from divergent cultures, goal of this exhibit was to promote cultural exchanges, friendship between ceramic artists and art show opportunities.

EWCAA endeavors to establish collaborative ties with many countries around the world to invigorate ceramic art in the time of globalization is inevitable. That are embraces behind the East & West Ceramic Sculptors meet. Followings are exhibitions of East & West Ceramic Artists Association.

1st show- 1999 soho, New York (8 artists ) Oct. 5 1999-oct. 30 1999/Soho 20 Gallery.

2nd show- 2002 Chelsea, New York ( 12 artists ) Dec. 17 2002 -Jan. 11. 2003/Viridian Gallery.

3 rd show— 2004 Long Island City, New York ( 13 artists ) Dec. 17. 2004 – Jan. 16. 2005/Space World Gallery.

4th show -2006 Insadong, Seoul, Korea( 24 artists ) — Dec. 6. 2006 – Dec. 12. 2006/Korean Craft Promotion Foundation Gallery.

5th show — 2008 Mashiko, Japan —Jan. 24. 2008 – Jan. 30. 2008/Mashiko Museum of Ceramic art, Japan.

6th show — 2010 Princeton, NJ — Mar. 18. 2010 — Apr. 30. 2010 /Arts Council of Princeton, NJ.

7th show — 2013 Hunterdon, NJ —Jan. 13. 2013 — Mar. 10. 2013/Hunterdon Museum, NJ.
